Because of the increasing instances of fish theft from local waters by unscrupulous anglers we feel it is the right time to start micro tagging our fish stocks . The other benefit of this is to better enable the monitoring of growth rates in individual fish with in our lake.

Fish tagging is becoming more popular with waters In the south and is endorsed by the Environment Agency who have brought about convictions for fish theft and have powers to net the waters of those suspected of receiving stolen fish .

We have started to tag all fish of 15lb and above with our details and register their unique number as we catch them . This may take a while but will be ongoing.
