48Hr Session On Peg 3 Bird Hut Bank-Th 13/3 - Sa 15/3
48hr session with two mates Dek and Eddie on the newly reshaped Birdhut Bank.Got there first off on Thurs 13/3/14 having already decided where we were all fishing.Already there doing a 48hr session was Dave and Pete fishing out of Meerkat/Sandbank.The weather was fantastic for a social fishing session, sun beaming down and just after dinner Dek was into his first fish a nice 10lb common.Dek and Eddie continued to trade blows with Eddie coming out on top on day 1 with the biggest fish of 13lb but Dek had had the most so far.As dusk approached the temp dropped really cold. My swim was very quiet all day apart from a few bleeps here and there but no fish.....Friday looked like it was going to be the same when the sun came up, but it quickly disappeared behind the clouds and the temperature was a lot lower than Thursday and started getting very windy.Dave and Pete finished thier stint on Meerkat/Sandbank freeing up my swim. The fishing was still quite slow with Dek off the mark first again followed by Eddie and i had to wait till 6.30pm some 36hrs after i had started, for my first fish but it was very welcome.
A perfect mirror weighing in at exactly 13lb matching Eddies heaviest...Yay...The wind started to become very gusty but we all managed to nick another each during the late evening/night.All in all an excellent session considering theyre still coming out of thier winter slumber....
Tight Lines Dean.
